Only I'm not sure how much Tivo I need. I have a bad feeling that if I don't shell out for the super-duper 140-hour box I'll end up regretting it. I mean, sure, I don't really watch all that many TV shows right now, but once I no longer have deal with remembering when stuff's on and setting VCRs and finding tapes and all that bullshit I suspect I'll suddenly develop a burning need to watch The O.C. every week. And all the CSIs. And Without a Trace. And I'll never miss an episode of The Daily Show again just because I want to go to bed. Not to the mention all the new shows I could potentially end up addicted to, like Joey and Jack & Bobby and Desperate Housewives. And I could start catching the reruns of all those shows I skipped in first-run, like Buffy and Angel. And of course there are the shows I'd want to save indefinitely--WW (yes, I still watch that damn show even though it mostly sucks), GG, Scrubs, most of the Adult Swim lineup. Not to mention all the munchkin's favorite cartoons--it's good to have some Teen Titans on hand for emergencies.
Geez, do they make, like, a 500-hour box? 'Cause I think that's what I'm gonna need. And that's without even having any of the premium channels. Can you imagine if we actually had HBO and Showtime?
