Well, I guess it's a given that the season finale of BSG blew my mind. It's amazing that I have cognitive function at all, the number of times that show's blown my mind. I kept waiting for the Bobby-in-the-shower moment (if you don't get that reference you're not as old as me--or not as much of a TV junkie) but (thankfully) it never came. The bad thing, though, was that the episode ran slightly over so Frodo cut off right as Baltar was asking the Cylons what they wanted. There may have been some screaming in the Sus household. So, yeah, I paid $1.99 to download the whole damn episode in iTunes so I could see the last two minutes. It was so worth it, though.
Sunday's Grey's Anatomy was good. Natalie Cole was absolutely amazing. And I worship Bailey and her "I can't solve a problem unless there's a problem to solve, is there a problem?" death stare. And how hilarious was Teddy Dunn as the hockey guy? I think dumbass jock is just about the limit of his acting range. But ya'll, I have to say, I sort of agree with Meredith on the "It takes two to make a bad sexual decision" thing. Not that it excuses that absurd laughing business, but George should have known better. Meredith has been obviously fucked up ever since Mrs. Dr. McDreamy showed up and anyone who throws themselves at a person in that state... well, they kinda made their own bed, you know?
As for West Wing... There's a not a lot I can say that hasn't already been bandied about the internets a million times over since Sunday. I really liked all the Josh/Donna stuff, though. The kiss was HOT, and I loved how Josh pushed the door shut but they were smoothly standing apart by the time Santos walked in. The thing with the key was a nice touch in terms of seeing Donna finally taking the lead. And I loved Josh's look to her at the end. Here's my thing, though... Why does he need the key at all? If he was gonna take the key, why couldn't he just go upstairs and discretely knock on her door instead? Can she not open it from the inside? And if he doesn't have the guts to do that, why can't Donna go knock on his damn door and tell him it's time to put up or shut up?
The really exciting news, however, is that there is a new Bones tonight AND a new Veronica Mars and THEY'RE NOT ON AT THE SAME TIME so I can actually TiVo both. Can I get a hallelujah, people? And as if that wasn't good enough, Adam Baldwin's guesting on Bones!
