I love Dick

So, weirdly enough, I didn't hate Gilmore Girls last night, despite the fact that it was a Daniel Fucking Palladino episode. What's up with that? Not that I loved it or anything, because the show's still moving in a direction I don't care to go, but at least there were several amusing moments. And Luke gets less likable by the episode, while Jess, of all people, is suddenly the most interesting character on the show. What the hell? And will someone please punch Rory in the face so she'll stop being such a hateful, childish brat? Please?

And Veronica Mars was just... whoa. I can't even process everything yet. I think it was my favorite episode of the season, though. Loved the Logan/Veronica interactions (even more than last week, which I know everyone in the world but me adored), loved loved LOVED the Logan and Wallace stuff. And seriously, ya'll, I  Dick. No, really. I still have no idea what's going on with the bus crash stuff, but whatever. At least I'm interested again.

I liked GG last night more than I have in awhile... but at every commercial break I find myself ranting about how stupid the girls are being. And Luke: your partner is so over-the-top passive aggresive about your relationship with your daughter! Get it! Deal with it! Grrrr. But Jess is fantastic. Rory should move to Philadelphia.

VMars... Why would Weevil want to crash the bus? Cause of Servando? I think Beav knows what's up, or about the life insurance policy on him and Dick, cause he's acting weird.

My favorite part was when Veronica got her Stanford letter... it seems like the only time we've ever really seen her be happy, and I started crying. And I want to punch that stupid rich girl in the face.

There's a finger in my Ribwich!
I didn't even get to see GG (I *had* to watch a bottle blonde, bottle stupid Jessica Simpson wannabe who speaks pidgin English even though she was born and bred in North Carolina butcher "Bohemian Rhapsody" on American Idol. I had to.), but I'll punch Rory in the face for free.

They crammed a *lot* into that ep of VM, which makes me tsk tsk them for not spreading the info over the last few eps but makes me love them for this one. There's been a lot in the news lately about students flying to out-of-state doctors to get fake diagnoses so they get extra time on the SATs--I thought I was having a Sorkin flashback for a minute there. L/V: I wasn't puddling on the floor last week either, but they were tons of fun this week--watching them have relatively normal interactions and then Veronica getting hurt and letting her claws out? Ouch. And I'm worried about Beaver--I can't imagine the overabundance of eyeliner they're using to make him look even more concave than before is an accident. ;) Why can't they show two eps a week?
