I'm siiiiiiiiick. *whine* Stupid summer colds. My sinuses feel like they're stuffed with cotton balls soaked in Tabasco sauce. And I owe mikijean an email and carmen_sandiego beta comments, but it's all going to have to wait until my head clears up and I can think straight again.

On the bright side, the Bones finale last night was Squeelicious! Angst, crying, hugging, protectiveness, jealousy, hurrah! Of all the finales I cared about, this one was probably the least disappointing. Okay, so I don't expect much from Bones, so it doesn't have far to go to meet my expectations. The Grey's Anatomy finale was kind of annoying, West Wing was predictably meh, and Veronica Mars had moments of brilliance tempered by some pretty disappointing problems. I don't even count Gilmore Girls in the list of shows I care about any more.

Last night I watched Lost for lack of anything better to do. It felt like I haven't missed anything in the weeks that have passed since I stopped watching--because almost NOTHING HAS HAPPENED to advance the plot in any way. This is why I stopped watching this show. Also the fact that it's essentially degenerated into a bunch of people yelling at each other on a beach and generally failing to interact or communicate in any meaningful or interesting ways. I mean, Michael might as well have been wearing a sign that said "I'm EVIL. Ask me how." and NO ONE said anything about it except Sayid. The hell? And Jack continues to be unbearably bossy and annoying and consistently displays the poorest leadership skills I've ever seen and yet everyone is still deferring to him. Again, I say, the hell? Stupid show.

ETA: Dang, how cute does Mal look all sick and woozy? I wish I looked that hot right now.

I watched a SECOND of Lost and was so utterly disappointed that I changed the channel. It really is too bad, since Lost completely blew my mind last season. Fucker JJ...

I watched about two minutes of it, and I agree. Except, you shouldn't even blame J.J. this time, he was with CrazyCruise and M:I:3 all year, it's Lindeloff and Cuse who ruined everything.

It's so sad that it sucks ass now, it had such potential. Jerks.

You're right, we can't even blame this one entirely on J.J. since he's pretty much given up the reins. Stupid Damon.

I can blame J.J. for what I suspect is faulty framework to begin with, though. Whatever they're building toward is something J.J. came up with and I have a pretty good suspicion it's totally lame.

See, I totally blame JJ. I don't care what he's off doing, he's still one of the EPs. And if you're going to give me good shit the first 22 times and you can't follow through, then give it up. *cries*

I will agree with you there, they've pretty much shown their hand in terms of what's going on with the island, it's a big research station, only the characters don't know that now. Not terribly exciting or interesting or engaging, especially when they've exhausted everyone's backstory by the middle of season two.

I definitely would have enjoyed some hot Angela/Hodgins action. But I loved the Angela/Booth scene. I think it's sweet that she's the only one of the squints he actually likes to talk to. And you're right, ED is getting better. I think she was almost emoting last night.
